What I enjoy most when painting is listening to music. From Hip-Hop to Soul, R&B to Pop, I dig all types of genres because it literally puts me in such a cool, calm, and collective mood while creating. Three albums in particular I’ve been listening to back to back were Beyonce’s Lemonade, Travis Scott’s Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, and last but not least Frank Ocean’s Blonde. One minute I’m screaming out “Yasssss give me hot sauce” and the next I’m either fully in trap mode or super duper mellow.
So, with all that listening, their albums got me thinking! Why don’t I just do an album cover design!?…and that I did. I based it off the song/s that I thought caught my attention the most. These pieces were then placed in the art showcase I did at Pancakes and Booze October Fest.
Since I was so caught up having my friends with me at my showcase, I completely forgot to post the most important thing which were my art pieces, lol. Today, I’ll be giving you a closer look into what I’ve designed.
I plan on creating larger pieces after this collection, just to see how far I can go with my art. What is one thing you would like to do to spice up your art pieces? Whatever that may be, push yourself to surpassing any limits you may have had on yourself and just create!
